GB infraVelo GmbH provides project leadership and management, construction management and client support services for on-going infrastructure projects in the State of Berlin. Their work focuses on schemes designed to improve cycle traffic infrastructure and includes the provision of all necessary commercial, administrative, technical and other services for the State of Berlin and its various organisations. These include public entities, agencies and foundations and private companies in which the State of Berlin holds a direct or indirect interest.

The company’s brief is to support the implementation of major cycle infrastructure investment programmes with an emphasis on cross-district projects. Schemes falling within its remit include express cycle ways, cross-district cycle traffic schemes, long-distance cycle paths, cycle parks and other parking facilities as well as the management of operating and maintenance systems including booking systems and cycle park funding programmes.

The company’s work is overseen by a seven-member supervisory board chaired by State Secretary Jens-Holger Kirchner (Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection) and his deputy, Eva-Maria Scheel of the Berlin division of the German Cyclists Association (Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club Berlin e.V.). Its Managing Director is Dipl.-Ing. Katja Krause.
