Project and construction management

  • Process management and controlling
  • Contract and quality management
  • PR and external communications

The Grün Berlin Group supports open public space projects from the first ideas phase through to completion. As ‘builders for Berlin’, we provide professional project and construction management and punctual, cost-effective and careful implementation of plans. We manage construction and coordinate all the service providers, construction companies and planners involved, from the ground-breaking ceremony through to opening day.

For us, actively designing urban landscapes means also promoting projects with targeted communication and marketing measures. Project management that maximises the common good involves making planning and implementation processes transparent and enabling the widest possible range of users and interest groups to get actively involved

Grün Berlin GmbH took over this 23.4 ha former amusement park in the Plänterwald forest in 2016. Our goal is to develop an environmentally sustainable culture and recreation park that will be appropriate for the fragile Spree Park site and attractive to both tourists and Berliners.

Development measures in the Kienberg Park

The Kienbergpark extends across the Kienberg hill, areas of the Wuhletal and the “Auftakt Hellersdorf” green space. A new urban and park landscape will be completed here by 2017.

Extension to the Gärten der Welt (Gardens of the World)

New gardens, more user-friendliness and further services for the growing number of visitors to this park are being created on a 22-hectare extension site.

Berlin International Garden Exhibition 2017

Garden exhibition

The Berlin International Garden Exhibition 2017 will be held from April to October 2017 in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district. The IGA site links the existing Gärten der Welt park with the extensive Wuhletal and Kienberg green spaces – the future “Kienberg Park“ – and the distinctive tower block skyline

Design of open space around the Kulturforum

Important cultural institutions are concentrated around the Kulturforum between Potsdamer Platz and Reichpietschufer, an area designed to function and be perceived as an ensemble. One key to restoring its functions is the planning of the Kulturforum’s open spaces.

T4 Memorial and Information point

Since 2014 the T4 Memorial and Information Point has commemorated those murdered in the Nazi’s euthanasia programme in the Kulturforum’s northern area.

Berlin Wall Memorial

The Berlin Wall Memorial was built between 2008 and 2014 on Bernauer Strasse in the Berlin district of Mitte as a central site commemorating those who fell victim to the Berlin Wall.

Berliner Wall Trail (Mauerweg)

Travelling along this 160-kilometre route through Berlin and Brandenburg you will encounter the authentic history of Germany’s division in original settings and much more.

The Mauerpark is famed far beyond Berlin, and not just because of its history as part of the Berlin Wall complex. On warm summer evenings its green spaces attract lots of visitors.

Park am Gleisdreieck

A new kind of city park has been established at Gleisdreieck. Construction work on the park is now complete, although it is still undergoing further development.
