The Natur-Park Schöneberger Südgelände is characterised by a fascinating combination of nature, railroad relics and art. Visitors are guided along paths and footbridges that follow the course of the old railroad tracks. In this way, the area can be experienced on rails, so to speak.
Guided tours
Every year from April onwards, regular guided tours take place in and around the Natur-Park Südgelände on various topics. Let us explain to you when and how the park became what it is today. Discover rare birds, insects and plants that have found their home here in the nature park. Tour topics are: "Groundbreaking Nature", "Nature on the train" (natural history discoveries between the tracks), "Plant experience tour", and "Discovering birds at Natur-Park Südgelände".
Exhibition
The "Groundbreaking Nature" exhibition has been on display at the Natur-Park Schöneberger Südgelände since 29 March 2017. It is related to the IGA Berlin 2017 and its motto "Berlin's green places" – the Natur-Park Schöneberger Südgelände is one of these 80 "green places". As part of a pilot project, twelve inclusive exhibits and supplementary audio descriptions were added to the existing permanent exhibition in September 2020.
Gastronomy
The Brückenmeisterei is home to the Paresüd park café. Here, you can relax wonderfully on weekends and holidays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in spring, summer and autumn – either sheltered in the building or in the "beer garden" in front of or behind the Brückenmeisterei. The menu includes: - Coffee, cakes, quiche and hearty snacks
