Whether it's cycling, skating, Segway, windsports, pedal-powered mobile, pedal, go-kart, basketball, table tennis, football or boules - Tempelhofer Feld offers open space and numerous opportunities for sports enthusiasts.

 

When practising all sports, general consideration for others is particularly important. The regulations for the use of Tempelhofer Feld stipulate that pedestrians and slow-moving activities have priority over other uses. In particular, athletes engaged in fast-moving sports (e.g. skating, cycling, wind sports in general) are obliged to show special consideration for other visitors.

Basketball

Near the main entrance Columbiadamm (in the so-called picnic area) there is a basketball court that can be used by all visitors.

Football pitch

In the northern area of Tempelhofer Feld and near the main entrance Tempelhofer Damm there is a football pitch for free play.

Pétanque

Two boules courts on Tempelhofer Feld offer all visitors the opportunity to play a game of boules in a sociable atmosphere: One court is located in the picnic area in the Columbiadamm section, another court with two lanes is located in the Tempelhofer Damm section.

Dingadu Talent School (Civic Project)

The Dingadu Talent School is a unicycling and circus school with a balance course. It offers various courses and projects for children and adults, individuals as well as groups (e.g. school classes or corporate events). Interested parties join in immediately at the square or make an appointment.

Jugger e.V. (civic project)

The sport with self-made pompfen and jugg. The Jugger e. V. association operates the world's first official jugger field as a meeting place, training and competition venue. The association is open to all those interested in jugger and invites you to join in during public training sessions.

Miniramp (civic project)

The Minirampe on Tempelhofer Feld is a project privately initiated by Lieven Grimm, David Lichtenauer and Paul Lier and supported and supervised by the 1st Berlin Skateboard Club. Conceived as an inclusive project, the Minirampe aims to offer all roller sports enthusiasts an open meeting and sports facility.

Nordisch Aktiv - Course and Rental Centre (Civic Project)

The Nordisch aktiv centre of the German Ski Association offers a year-round contact point for Nordic sports on Tempelhofer Feld. This serves as a course and training location as well as a service and rental centre for Nordic roller sports equipment in summer and cross-country skis in winter.

ParkRunning (civic project)

With the ParkRunning running app, joggers always have exact times thanks to Bluetooth timing. Download the free app and run your personal 5km race on Tempelhofer Feld. The route map and all important information can be found on the information board at the Tempelhofer Damm entrance. Follow the signs along the route and run your personal best time.

Steckdose Berlin - Electromobility (Civic Project)

The Steckdose Kreuzberg is already making electromobility a tangible experience on Tempelhofer Feld. Segway and e-scooter riders can try out this new form of locomotion on the extensive grounds from the age of ten.

Tennis wall

In the Columbiadamm section next to the fenced basketball court of TiB e.V., a tennis wall with a red asphalt court has been set up where tennis players can practice their strokes.

Teubert - Pedal scooters and bicycles (civic project)

The Mobilcenter Berlin operates a pedal bike, pedal, go-kart and bicycle rental service at Tempelhofer Feld. There are more than 70 seats on pedal mobiles and enough comfortable bikes and tandems to explore the field and its 45 m wide runways.

Table tennis

In the picnic area, several table tennis tables are freely available for visitors to Tempelhofer Feld.

 

Vogelfreiheit (Civic Project)

This spot is a centre of urban movement culture and a meeting place for skateboarders, dancers, artists, BMXers, and many more. The idea of a granite sculpture made of recycled slabs from the Palace of the Republic emerged from the online dialogue in 2007 and was realised in 2012, partly in building workshops with young people.
