Britzer Garten

The Britzer Garten is a unique green oasis in the middle of the big city. Since its creation for the Federal Garden Show in 1985, it has offered visitors ample space for recreation, leisure, sports, health and cultural activities. Take a walk, discover the colourful variety of plants and special horticultural shows, go jogging, listen to live concerts under the open sky or simply enjoy the fresh air in the greenery on the picnic blanket you brought with you: The Britzer Garten is a landscape full of possibilities in an urban city space.

At the centre of the park is a nearly 10-acre lake nestled between hills and meadows. In the foothills of this sweeping landscape lie flower groves, art installations, architecturally elaborate restaurants and other sights. In addition to the numerous themed gardens and other gardening attractions, there are learning and play areas for children, animal enclosures and a model boat harbour. With the old Britzer Mühle and the Rosengarten, the park preserves old traditions, while contributing towards the future with numerous ecological and sustainability projects.
