Our tasks

Facility and real estate management

Over 700 hectares of open spaces, more than 100 buildings, linear infrastructures and tourist information systems – we operate, maintain and develop a wide range of public facilities for Berliners and the city's guests. Thanks to our broad expertise, we apply uniform standards in our work and benefit from synergy effects that enable us to ensure a high level of quality in our operations for millions of users each year.
Our sustainable facility and property management meets the needs of a wide variety of user and visitor groups as well as a wide range of technical requirements. We also maintain and preserve historically, politically and culturally significant sites such as the Berlin Wall Memorial and the Berlin Wall Trail. In addition, we are responsible for the preservation of monuments and cultural assets on behalf of the state of Berlin.

Gärten der Welt

As part of the International Garden Exhibition Berlin 2017 (IGA), the Gardens of the World have grown to 43 hectares and become even more international. In the process, numerous other attractions have been created in addition to new gardens.

Park am Gleisdreieck

In the middle of the capital, the Park am Gleisdreieck was created in 2013 from an inaccessible wasteland - an urban open space in the countryside. The wide range of possible uses makes the Park am Gleisdreieck a hotspot between Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Tempelhof-Schöneberg.
