Our tasks

Infrastructure and property management

Over 800 hectares of open spaces and parks, more than 100 buildings, 2,100 traffic signals, linear infrastructures and tourist information systems - we operate, maintain and develop a wide range of public infrastructures for Berliners and the city's guests. In 2023, Grün Berlin also took over the management of traffic lights throughout the city with its new subsidiary GB infraSignal GmbH. Thanks to our broad expertise, we rely on uniform standards in our work and benefit from synergy effects that enable us to guarantee a high level of quality for millions of users each year.

Our sustainable infrastructure and property management meets both the very different user and visitor groups and their needs as well as the diverse professional requirements. We also maintain and preserve historically, politically and culturally significant sites such as the Soviet memorials and the Berlin Wall Trail. In addition, we are responsible for the preservation of monuments and cultural assets for the state of Berlin.

Gärten der Welt

As part of the International Garden Exhibition Berlin 2017 (IGA), the Gardens of the World have grown to 43 hectares and become even more international. In the process, numerous other attractions have been created in addition to new gardens.

Park am Gleisdreieck

In the middle of the capital, the Park am Gleisdreieck was created in 2013 from an inaccessible wasteland - an urban open space in the countryside. The wide range of possible uses makes the Park am Gleisdreieck a hotspot between Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Tempelhof-Schöneberg.
